Dear KtJet? Developers, Currently the exlcusive jet making does not allow for R parameters different from the default value (1.0). Since inclusive jets with a final cut on E_T differ from exclusive jets and since we use smaller R parameters than 1.0 for the inclusive jets we would like to compare inclusive and exclusive jets with smaller R parameters. There has been a request from CMS to allow the user to set the ID of a particle. We create an integer ID when a KtLorentzVector is instantiated and use it to determine e.g. which particles are in a given jet. We took the decision initially not to allow the user to change this ID. However, at least one user wants to be able to use their own IDs to track particles in jets back to the objects that were used to create the initial four-vectors. |
